While many psychologists found that children with imaginary friends often have a good development, adults who have imaginary friends, a spiritual second personality or a trusted voice in their head are seen as ill and sometimes even as dangerous even though the imaginary friends are seldomly a bad influence. I personally share my mind with a friend who is similar in personality to me but less shy. Psychologists have tried to get rid of her and I had to hide her. I see it as a genocide of imaginary friends when psychologists want to get rid of them since they view them as a psychosis. The psychologists are the nazis and the imaginary friends are the jews and as long as psychologists do not change their approach, we would keep protecting our imaginary friends.
