A wedding reception for same-sex couples planning to marry in Minnesota?? or for anyone wanting to celebrate the state's landmark law ? will be held? at the Wilde Roast Cafe in Minneapolis on July 31.
That's the eve of the day that same sex marriage will be legal in Minnesota.
It's sponsored by Minnesotans United for All Families, a group that worked to defeat the gay marriage ban in November and then to pass the bill legalizing gay marriage.
The group says the reception, which starts at 8 p.m., will:
"celebrate marriage equality at midnight?? the very minute that same-sex couples who were previously married outside of Minnesota will be legally recognized in our state. All are welcome to come celebrate, even if you?re planning to get married or are happily single!"
